Vivian Alice Moore, 62, of Lonaconing went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center. Born on May 15, 1952 in Keyser, WV she was the daughter of Simone Moore and the late Harold Moore.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Moore.
She retired from Westvaco after 30 years of service. Viv had many special friends from her work years, she always treasured their friendship. One of the special times was a get together, in early December to honor her before she began treatments. She was so happy with the gathering of friends.
Vis is survived by her mother, Simone and her sister, Cecelia and husband Harold “Butch” Leatherman and sister-in-law, Cheryl Moore.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, who were the joys of her life, Connie and Marc Green, Brenda Reese and friend Mark, Kevin and Sue Leatherman, Donnie and Julie Moore, Amy and Jim Krumpach and Mike and Melissa Moore and great-nieces and great-nephews, Trevor, Zach and Madison Green, Owen and Aaryn Reese, Bradi and Britni Moore, Bryson and Ryan Krumpach and Simon Moore.
She made holidays like Valentine’s Day, Easter and Christmas, extra special for the families.
Vivian was a member of the First Assembly of God of Lonaconing, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a graduate of Valley High School class of 1970 and always enjoyed helping with the reunions.
Her Crafts by Viv occupied many hours of her time. She enjoyed creating something of beauty from items she’d purchased around town or at yard sales.
Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at the First Assembly of God, Lonaconing at 11:00AM with Jim Taylor officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. View Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
