Vicki Matthews

Vicki Matthews, 70, of High Street, Lonaconing, went to be the Lord on December 6, 2025 at home. Born in Cumberland on May 21, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Walter Newton Parsons and Arvella Mary (Baer) Parsons.

She was preceded in death by her brother, William Tabler and a special cousin, Richard Baer.

Vicki was a 1973 graduate of Beall High School, also of Allegany Vocational Technical School where she was enrolled in the nursing program. She had been a member of the Georges Creek Ambulance Service for 10 years prior to her illness. She had a deep passion for the medical field. She loved her family, friends, and her grandchildren were the sparkle in her eyes.

She is survived by her husband Ernest Matthews; her daughter, Rhonda Morgan and son, Kolton Marshall of Columbia; a son, Dale Matthews and wife Tina, and three children, Carson, Kadie, and Jaxon of Luke; a sister, Donna Williams and husband David of Baltimore; several nieces and nephews and a special cousin, Fred Baer of Lonaconing.

At her request she will be cremated and private service will be held by her family at a later date. Vicki is in the care of Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing.
