Thelma Inskeep

Thelma Doyle Inskeep, 93, of 43 Railroad St., Lonaconing passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011.

Born February 25, 1918 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late Robert and Vergie (Dye) Doyle. Also preceded in death by her loving husband, J. Cecil "Bud" Inskeep, brother, Robert Doyle and grandchildren, Mike and Annette Fisher.

Thelma graduated from Central High School in the class of 1936, and was looking forward to her 75th celebration this June. She also graduated from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She retired in 1980 as an Allegany County Health Nurse. She was a life time member of the United Methodist Church of Lonaconing and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Martha Washington Chapter #10 O.E.S., Lonaconing.

Thelma is survived by her three children, Catherine Ann Fisher and husband Tom, Joseph C. Inskeep, Jr. and wife Linda, Robin L. Smith and husband Earl; grandchildren, Beth Chapman and husband Ryan, Amanda Inskeep, Josh and Luke Smith; a very special great-granddaughter, Sarah Chapman; brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to her caregivers and many friends who have touched her life.

Family and Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ), Lonaconing on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.  A service will be held by Martha Washington Chapter #10 O.E.S. at 2:30 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Maxwell Greenfield officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the United Methodist Church, Lonaconing.
