Tessielean Evelyn Skidmore, 84, of Locust Grove, LaVale and formerly of Lonaconing died Friday, June 14, 2013 at Devlin Manor, Cumberland. Born on August 13, 1928 in Pekin she was the daughter of the late James Matthews and Venona (Kirkwood) Matthews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Patrick Skidmore in June of 1974 and eleven of her siblings.
Tessielean was Methodist by faith and a homemaker.
She is survived by her three children, Dorthea Michaels of Midland, James Skidmore of LaVale and Janie Raynor of Hyndman, PA; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Matthews of Cumberland; one sister, Mary Theresa Kinnaman of California and numerous nieces and nephews.
At her request she will be cremated. Inurnment will be held at Mt. View Cemetery, Moscow Mills. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing handled the arrangements.
