Steven O'Haver

Steven Allen O’Haver Sr., 60, of Railroad Street, Midland died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. He was born on June 24, 1956 in Cumberland was the son of the late Olin O’Haver and Rosie (McKenzie) O’Haver.

He was preceded in death by a son Steven Allen O’Haver Jr. and two brothers Johnny and David O’Haver.

Steve was a 1974 graduate of Valley High School. He joined the U.S. Army in 1975 and served in the Army National Guard for 20 years. He was the head custodian at Washington Middle School.

He is survived by his son Nathan O’Haver and wife Kylie of Lonaconing; a grandson Cash Alexander O’Haver; a brother Mike O’Haver and wife Linda of Lonaconing; three sisters Catherine Steele of Lonaconing, Lois Elkins of Nikep and Patricia Butler and husband Alan of Mt. Savage and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A, Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 1, 2017 at 1:00PM with Rev. Tom Morgan officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills. Military Rites will be accorded by Combined Honor Guard Post#13, Cumberland.
