Stanley Olon Broadwater Sr., 73, of Lonaconing died Friday, May 29, 2020 at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland. Born February 13, 1947 in Lonaconing he was the son of the late Stanley William and Thelma Elizabeth (Fazenbaker) Broadwater.
He was preceded in death by two brothers; Lorraine Broadwater and Emmerson Broadwater.
He was a member of the First Assembly of God, Lonaconing, but also had a ministry license at a church in Ohio where he was the Deacon and a Sunday School Youth Pastor. He was a graduate of Central High School, Lonaconing. He worked for Prichard’s Hardware as a delivery truck driver before becoming the supervisor machinist at Akron Steel Fabrication. Stanley had surrendered his heart to God and loved talking about him. He also enjoyed living on his farm and all of the animals. He absolutely loved country music and would listen to any song he could find.
He is survived by three daughters; Tonya Fazenbaker Pease, Melissa Cutter-Smith and Juanita Netzer Emmerick and husband Chip, one son; Stanley Broadwater Jr. and fiancé Kathy, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, with 1 one the way and 1 great great grandson, one brother; Roger Broadwater and numerous nieces and nephews
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home P.A., 8 East Main St. Lonaconing, MD 21539 to help with Stanley’s final expenses.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home P.A.
