Sandra K. Getson

Sandra K. (Davis) Getson, 78, of Buskirk Hollow Road, Frostburg, went to be with her Heavenly Father and into the loving arms of her beloved husband Mike and parents, Elmer and Thelma Davis on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Bucklew.

Sandy was born June 7, 1947 in Lonaconing at Hodgson Clinic at 2:00 PM, on a bright and sunny day, music was playing close by in an area church.

She completed 6 grades at Midland Elementary and graduated from Valley High School, class of 1965. Sandy had worked as a beautician, in the spinning department at Celanese and spent 33 years employed by the State Highway Administration in the right of way department.

An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, LaVale and had several callings.

Sandy loved her family and was always planning get togethers so they would visit. She loved to decorate for the holidays, especially Christmas and loved baking cookies and candy and giving it to family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, talking on the phone and sunflowers. She especially loved country music when Mike was singing, she missed him dearly when he passed away in 2015.

Sandy is survived by her son Josh (Sherri) Getson, granddaughter Kayla (who called her Grammy), step-son Michael C. (Lindsay) Getson and step grandchildren Kadence, Abby, Izzy (who called her Grandma Sandy).

Also surviving is one sister Donna Beck, nieces and nephews Joyce (Bob) Ritchie, Cindy (Mike) Parker, Tammy (Steve) Harris, Chrissy (John) Haring, Wayne Colmer, Gary Colmer and Bryan (Brooke) Beck.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 1, 2025 from 5-8 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Bishop Matthew Georgeson officiating. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.
