Robert Seibert Sr.

March 3, 1925 — January 10, 2017

Robert M. Seibert Sr., 91, of Frostburg died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Gilchrist Hospice Care, Towson, MD. Born on March 3, 1925 in Eckhart Mines he was the son of the late Jacob Seibert and Elizabeth Groter Seibert.

He was preceded in death by his wife Mildred June Seibert, brothers, William, John and Joseph Seibert, sisters, Margaret Settle and Mary Seibert and a daughter, Elizabeth Campbell. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He was part of the 30th Infantry Division serving in the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, American Theater Ribbon, European African Middle Eastern Ribbon and the WWII Victory Ribbon. He retired from ABL after 44 years of service as a contract administrator. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Frostburg Council 1442. He was a lifetime member of Farrady Post #24 American Legion, Frostburg, MD.

He is survived by four children, Robert Seibert Jr and wife Martha “Marty” of Orlando, FL, John Seibert Sr. of Spotsylvania, VA,  Mitzie Warner and husband Dan of Stewartstown, PA and Eileen Nolan of Edgewater and son-in-law Ed Campbell of Midland; sixteen grandchildren, Michelle Sperry and husband Matthew, Mitzi Smith and husband Chad, Bobby Seibert, Shannon Medeiros and husband Stephen, Tanya Sirignano and husband Keith, Tricia Azam and husband Mohammed, John Seibert Jr and wife Heather, Jeremy Jefcoat and wife Shalla, Joseph Jefcoat and wife Kera, Chad Warner and wife Melissa, Marcus Warner and wife Nicole, Danny Warner and wife Hannah, Stephanie Millard and husband Kevin, Krystal Nolan, Angela Nolan and Johnna Nolan; twenty four great-grandchildren, Evan and Brooke Sperry, Sean and Sadie Medeiros, Anthony and Nicholas Sirignano, Maryam, Tara, Mashook, Khadijah and Asilayah Azam, Jacob, Ryan and Brayden Seibert, Layton Jefcoat, Cloe, Corban, Ally and Avery Warner, Scarlett, Levi and Eloise Warner, Matthew Hare and Zane East.


Family and friends will be received at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 11:00AM St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Frostburg with Father Ed Hendricks, celebrant. Interment will be held at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone. Military Rites will be accorded by Combined Honor Guard Post#13, Cumberland.
