Robert M. Scott, 92, of Old Beechwood Road, Lonaconing, died Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Mt. City Rehab, Frostburg. Born in Lonaconing on November 17, 1933 he was the son of the late Alexander Scott and Mary (Anderson) Scott.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotta Jean Scott on February 28, 1993, daughter, Desiree Lynn Scott in 1956, son, Robert A. Scott, granddaughter, Sarah Shockey, son-in-law, Steve Shockey, and his long-time companion, Helen Bostjancic. He was also preceded in death by three sisters and one brother, making him the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War. He was a 1951 graduate of Central High School and retired from ALCOA Corporation where he worked as a time keeper. He was a lifetime member of the Barton American Legion Post #189.
He is survived by two daughters, Denese Wilt and husband Tom, and Lois Shockey; three grandchildren, Tommy Wilt and wife Jessica, Aaron Wilt and wife Julie, and Stevie Shockey; six great-grandchildren including Lyrica Lancaster, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
At his request he will be cremated and inurned at Frostburg Memorial Park. Mr. Scott is in the care of Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing.
