Robert Phillips, Jr.

November 14, 1962 — July 1, 2013

Robert Lee Phillips, Jr.,50, of Railroad Street, Lonaconing died Monday, July 1, 2013 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on November 14, 1962 in Frostburg he was the son of Robert L. Phillips, Sr. and Carolyn (Ashby) Phillips of Lonaconing.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Major and Blanche Ashby and Jim and Ruth Phillips.

Rob was a graduate of Valley High School and Allegany County Vo-Tech. He was formerly a tractor-trailer driver. Rob loved being with his friends and just sitting on the porch with his best friend Paul Dye.

Rob was loved by his family and will be deeply missed.

Together with his parents he is also survived by his two sisters, Marla K. Mayles and husband Bob of Swanton and Dena L. Beachy of Lonaconing and two special nephews, Matt and Michael Mayles of Swanton.

Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. George Loar officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.

At the request of the family donations may be made in memory of Rob to the Georges Creek Ambulance Service at P.O. Box 155, Lonaconing, MD.
