Ralph Lamb, 88, of Rest Assured Assisted Living, Meyersdale, PA died Monday, May 13, 2013 at the assisted living center. Born on July 7, 1924 in Ongo, WV, Mouth of Seneca, he was the son of the late Edward Bennett Lamb and Luella (Whitecotton) Lamb.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mabel Elizabeth Lamb, his second wife, Betty Lamb and one brother, John Bennett.
Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland. He was member of the Solid Rock Independent Baptist Church, Corriganville, MD.
He is survived by his five children, Frank Lamb of Florida, Kitty Lamb of Florida, Lenny Lamb of Illinois, Loma Lynn Knight of Keyser, WV and Anita Joyce Heavner of Petersburg, WV.
Family and friends will be received at the Solid Rock Independent Baptist Church on 12510 Corrigan Dr, Corriganville on Friday, May 17, 2013 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be at the church on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor John Klink officiating. Interment will be held at St. Josephs Cemetery, Midland.
