Norma Ritchie

Norma Rose Ritchie passed away Dec. 12, 2010 at North Broward Medical Center in Deerfield, FL. Born July 9, 1937 in Washington, PA and growing up in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late James Barber Reed Ritchie and Edna Marie (Steinley)  Ritchie.
She was a 1955 graduate of Valley High School. Norma moved to Florida, worked for Bell South and had retired after forty years of service. She was a faithful member of Miami Shores Presbyterian Church for 55 years where she sang in the choir and served as a deacon. She was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
Norma enjoyed traveling, shopping, going to lunch with her friends, watching her TV shows and revisiting Coney. She did visit with her classmates this past year for her 55 th reunion.
She is survived by two sisters, Virginia McIntyre of Cumberland and Hila Uhl of Clarysville and her brother James R. Ritchie and wife Annette of Lonaconing. Norma is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Lonaconing on Sunday,  January  23rd at 1PM with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. A luncheon will follow at the church. Inurnment will be private at Frostburg Memorial Park. Condolences may be left for the family at www.eichhornmckenzie.com. Local arrangements by Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to the Miami Shores Presbyterian Church, FL or the First Presbyterian Church, Lonaconing.
