Naomi N. Blubaugh Wilson, 97, of Lonaconing died Friday, June 14, 2019 surrounded by her family at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on March 17, 1922 in Gilmore, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Blubaugh and Sarah (Fazenbaker) Blubaugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Jefferson Wilson on January 1, 1999, a son Roger Lee Wilson in 1985, a great-grandson Dane Wilson, three brothers Raymond, Irvin and Jacob Blubaugh and four sisters Elizabeth Kelly, Agnes Blubaugh, Helen Blubaugh and Mary McKenzie.
Naomi was a homemaker but had worked for a short period of time at the Celanese Fiber Corporation. She attended Bethel Holiness Church, Lonaconing. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who taught her children the value of hard work and caring for others. She had a way with plants and made the best homemade bread around. Family was everything to her and we will miss her unwavering love and courage.
She is survived by two sons Leonard “Sonny” J. Wilson and wife Joan of Lonaconing and David “Roke” J. Wilson and wife Johna also of Lonaconing;daughter-in-law Peggy Wilson of Frostburg; six grandchildren Linda J. Palmer and husband David, Lee Wilson and wife Robin, Kelly Hobel and husband David, Leonard J. Wilson and wife Missy, Jeff Wilson and wife Krista and Adam Wilson and wife Lisa; twelve great-grandchildren David, Andrew, Ashley, Justin, Ashlee, David, Jordan, Kailee, Abby, Sam, Chelsey and Josh; one great-great-granddaughter Baylei; two sisters Ruth Beeman and Betty Poling both of Baltimore; two brothers Jack Blubaugh of Mt. Savage and Bill Blubaugh of Klondike and numerous nieces and nephews.
At her request she was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing assisted the family.
