Melinda Renee (Gleich) Schull, 43, passed away on May 17, 2020, in the comfort of her own home after a long battle of fighting cancer.
Melinda was born on Aug. 10, 1976, in Jacksonville, Fla., to James Patrick "Ricky" Gleich Jr. and Melissa Rannells.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin; and father-in-law, Ron Schull; biological son, Dylan and daughter-in-law, Kayla; adopted children, Michael, Austin and Mackenzie; stepchildren, Dylan and Devin; grandchildren, Aaliyah and Kayson; sister, Maranda and brother-in-law, Daniel; nieces and nephew, Lillian, Lydia and Landen; mother, Melissa Rannells; and father-in-law, Kenny; and grandmother, Irene Stillwagner.
Melinda was preceded in death by her father, James Patrick "Ricky" Gleich Jr.; grandfather, Charles Woody Sr.; and uncle, Charles Woody Jr.
She owned and operated Imagination Station Day Care for four years, but she also worked under the management of another for many years. Melinda had such a love for children and impacted the lives of every child that she came in contact with. She had a very strong bond with three children, Hali, Megan and Kayla, that continued after daycare as she helped raise them with the help of life-long friend, David. Melinda also worked at HRDC for four years until she heard her calling to become a GNA and worked at Moran Manor for many years, before being diagnosed with stage four colon and rectal cancer.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., 8 East Main Street, Lonaconing, MD 21539, to assist with Melinda's funeral expenses.
Due to the restrictions of the Covid-19 Virus, funeral services will be private, with interment at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Lavale, with Pastor Shawn Shumaker officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing.
