Mary Martha Seibert, 82, of Bayberry Avenue, Cumberland died Saturday, December 21, 2013 at her residence. Born on October 31, 1931 in Eckhart Mines she was the daughter of the late John Jacob Seibert and Elizabeth (Groter) Seibert.
She was preceded in death by her four sisters, including Margaret Settle and four of her brothers, Leo, William, Joseph and John.
Mary was Catholic by faith. She began receiving services from Ray of Hope in 1994 and lived with two other roommates. She enjoyed many activities including working on puzzles, looking through books, watching TV and shopping. For the past 20 years she had many staff working with her and touched the hearts of each and everyone of them. Mary will be sadly missed by everyone she came in contact with.
She is survived by one brother, Robert Seibert and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, January 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Midland with Father Ed Hendricks, celebrant. Inurnment will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery, Frostburg. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland handled the arrangements.
As per the family's request and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Ray of Hope, Inc. at 163 N. Mechanic St., Cumberland, MD 21502.
