Mary Jane McKenzie, 86, of Frostburg died Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on July 3, 1928 in Gilmore she was the daughter of the late Jacob Nelson Blubaugh and Sara Rebecca (Fazenbaker) Blubaugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Elmer Arthur McKenzie on September 7, 2003, an infant daughter, Ria Marie McKenzie born on March 16, 1947, three brothers, Irvin, James “Jacob” and Raymond Blubaugh and three sisters, Helen Blubaugh, Elizabeth Kelley and Agnes Blubaugh.
She is survived by two children, Carol George and husband Jack of LaVale and Arthur McKenzie and wife Carol of Lonaconing; two granddaughters, Julie Diehl and husband Brian of Mt. Savage and Cindy Layman and husband Jason of Baltimore; four great-grandchildren, John Diehl of Mt. Savage, Natalie Diehl of Mt. Savage, Xavier Layman of Baltimore and Aaliyah Storer of LaVale; two brothers, Jack Blubaugh of Mt. Savage and Bill Blubaugh and wife Pat of Klondike; three sisters, Naomi Wilson of Lonaconing, Ruth Beeman of Baltimore and Betty Poling of Baltimore and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Fred Iser officiating. Inurnment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing.
