Margaret Crawford

Margaret Jane Crawford, 87, of East Main Street, Lonaconing died Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Egle Nursing Home. Born on July 20, 1930 in Barton, she was the daughter of the late Charles Raymond Barnes and Myrtle Marie (Beeman) Barnes.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Sherman Richard Crawford, Sr. on November 30, 1995, a daughter, Betty Lou Green, an infant son, Wesley Crawford, sister and brother –in-law, Louise and husband Donald Ashby, a brother, Charles Raymond Barnes and brother-in-law, Homer Beeman.

Margaret had worked at various places through the years including, Patty’s in Lonaconing, the Flushing Shirt Factory and the Continental. She loved to sing, play guitar and cook.

She is survived by her children, Ruth J. Rohloff and husband Larry of Stuart, FL, Saundra K. Beeman and husband Robert Sr. of Frostburg, Katherine M. Wilhelm of Dunbar, WV, Deborah A. Keller and Larry Mayfield of Lonaconing, Lavona S. Rosenberger and husband Larry of Lonaconing, Sherman R. Crawford, Jr. of Lonaconing and Lisa R. Brode and husband Richard of Meyersdale, PA; grandchildren, Vicki, Mark, Joyce, Tim, Melissa, Robert Jr., Anita, Nathan, April, Mindy, Chris, Sean, Dawn, Charlie, Erica, Megan and Travis; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Freda Beeman and Mary Dawson and husband Don; sister-in-law, Barbara Barnes; son-in-law, Ronnie Green of Tiffin, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 2PM-4PM and  6PM-8PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 11:00 with Rev. Heerak Kim officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
