Laurie Dawson

Laurie Ann Green Dawson, 51, of Lonaconing died Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Mercy Hospital, Baltimore. Born on February 7, 1972 in Cumberland she was the daughter of Stanley Green and the late Carolyn Green.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Green.

Laurie was born and raised on the Green farm in Garrett County, where she gained a love for all animals. She most loved her many pet cats throughout the years. She had a heart of gold when it came to her pets. They brought her joy and unconditional love even in the tough times. Laurie was a 1990 graduate of Westmar High School.

Together with her father she also leaves behind her siblings, Mark Shumate and Robin, Lisa Hall and Randy and Tammy Iman; nieces and nephews, Shannon Kroll Martin and Sean, Lauren Hogue, Marlee Opel and Elijah and Mark Shumate; great niece and nephew, Ava and Gage Hogue; and her significant other, Kenneth Warnick.

A memorial service will be held at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 12:00 PM. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will take place at Green Cemetery, Lonaconing.
