Larry Loraine Wilhelm, 75, of Lonaconing, passed away on Sunday, January,23 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born August 4, 1935, he was the son of the late Scott Olin and Laura Ellen (Durst) Wilhelm. He was preceded in death by one sister, Beverly Mohler.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Lonaconing and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was previously employed by Loves Grocery. Larry enjoyed doing yard work, he also enjoyed hunting, driving his red Ford truck out in the country, and going to Sheetz for coffee.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Gladys Louise (McKenzie) Wilhelm, and his four children, Shirley Timney and husband John of Frostburg, Linda Adams and husband Alan ,Frostburg, Larry Wilhelm, Cumberland, and Kenneth Wilhelm, and wife Carrie, Avilton. Two grandchildren, Danny Timney and wife Jamie,Virginia, and Christopher Adams, Frostburg. Also one great granddaughter, born January 16, 2011, Madelyn Rae Timney, Virginia. Also surviving are seven brothers and sisters. Marilyn Muir, Carol Beeman, Scotty Wilhelm, Roger Wilhelm, Darrell Wilhelm, Steve Wilhelm, and Mike Wilhelm.
Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ,Lonaconing on Tuesday January 25, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Thomas Winborn officiating. Interment will be at St. Ann's Cemetery, Avilton.
