John Joseph Ford, 63, of Richard Way, LaVale died Monday, June 26, 2017 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on November 16, 1952 in Baltimore he was the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Ford.

He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Ford.

He was catholic by faith and retired from Goodwill Industries.

He is survived by three sisters Eileen Chaffee, Teresa Ford Vesperman and Kathleen Ford-Smith. He also leaves behind his loving caretakers from the Council for Exceptional Children and Adults and his housemates, Bruce and Mike.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, June 30, 2017  from 11:30-12:30PM at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home immediately following at 12:30PM with Father Eric Gauchat, O.F.M. CAP officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
