Janie Lee

Janie Evaline Lee, 94, of Lower Georges Creek Road, Nikep, died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Egle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lonaconing.  Born on September 16, 1919 she was the daughter of the late James Herbert Myers and Margaret Ann (Bowman) Myers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester "Pete" Charles Lee in 1989, a daughter, Debra Lee, a granddaughter, Tammy, a great-grandson Kolton and her sister, Hazel Miller.

Janie was a member of the Frostburg Church of the Nazarene and a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters, James Lee and wife Nancy of Bel Air, Bobby Lee and wife Kathy of Barton, Mary Brode of Nikep and Phyllis Broadwater and husband Sheridan of Landisburg, PA; eight grandchildren, Audie Lee, Kevin Lee, Joy Bateson, James Lee, Keith Brode, Timmy Broadwater, Barbara Keller and Roy Broadwater; nineteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Kamden and Brynlee were extra special great- grandchildren and they will miss her dearly.

Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Evans officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. View Cemetery, Moscow Mills.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of the Egle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care they provided to Janie.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
