James "Clem" Ritchie

James "Clem" Patrick Ritchie, 62, of Robin Street, Lonaconing died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born on September 20, 1949 in Frostburg he was the son of the late Glen "Clem" Ritchie and Dolores "Dory" (Monahan) Ritchie.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Glenna Klipstien.

He was a catholic by faith and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lonaconing. A graduate of Valley High School, Clem was a member of the class of 1967. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves, part of the Military Police for 6 years and was treasurer for the American Legion Post #92 for over 30 years. Clem owned his own home improvement business, Ritchie Home Improvement for well over 30 years. He loved Chevys and enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams, the New York Yankees and the New York Jets. He also enjoyed watching westerns in his spare time. Clem shared a special bond with his grandson Brian, whom he loved very much.

He is survived by his daughters, Jeannie Fuente and husband Brian of Lonaconing, Tammy Grady and friend Cory Alexander of Lonaconing and Wilda Grady and friend Doug Peebles of Frostburg; one son, Bobby Grady and wife Crystal of Frostburg; eight grandchildren, Brian James Fuente, Steven Junkins II, Courtney Winner, Brooke Grady, Megan Bowman, Chris Bowman, Ceceley Grady and Robert Grady II; five great-grandchildren, Riley, Trinity, Colton, Madilyn and Hunter; one brother, Bob Ritchie and wife Joyce of Lonaconing; one sister, Dolores and husband William "Goat" Morgan of Frostburg; three nephews, Robert Ritchie of Lonaconing, Jeff Ritchie of Kentucky and James Klipstien of Fountain, WV.

Family and Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ), Lonaconing on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2012 at 11:00 AM with Father Paul Byrnes officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.
