Irma Shockey

Irma Darlene Shockey, 78, of Lonaconing died Sunday, August 8, 2021 at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland. Born on April 10, 1943 she was the daughter of the late James Elmer Getson Sr. and Bertha Jane (Bittinger) Getson.

She was preceded in death by four siblings, Alice Lieshere, Judy Miller, James Getson Jr. and Frank Getson Sr. and a nephew Jerry Rosenburger.

Irma was a graduate of Valley High School and had worked at General Motors. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary, M.O.C.A. #13 and the Eagles Club.

She is survived by three sisters, Bertha Rosenburger, Pauline Harding and Angela Bell and nieces and nephews, James III, Ernest, Janice, Christine, Frank Jr., Christina, Elizabeth, Bradley and James.

Services will be privately held at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing and burial will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills, MD.
