Ida Catherine “Virginia” Smith, 84, of Frederick and formerly of Lonaconing, died Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Community Living Inc. Born on October 6, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Elmer Porter Smith and Mary Christina Marie (Broadwater) Smith.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Edison, Melvin, Charlie, Harold Smith and Robert Dewitt.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 11AM-1PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. Interment will be held at Broadwater Cemetery.
