Helen Broadwater

Helen Olive Broadwater, 91, of Lonaconing, a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord early Friday morning, January 21, 2011. Her husband, Marvin L. Broadwater, precedes her in death, along with her parents James E. Whiteman and Eliza Green Whiteman, and her 7 brothers and 4 sisters, all of Lonaconing.

She leaves behind a daughter, Barbara Spiker and husband Tom, Midland, three grandchildren Jeff Darisa and wife Sharon, Westernport, Jeanie Daris, Lonaconing, and Billy Spiker, Midland and Katie Thrasher; two great-grandchildren Meagan Daris, Lonaconing, and Skylarr Spiker, Midland and Geraldine Michaels of Westernport, her niece who was more like a sister to her. She will be missed and loved dearly by all that knew her.

Friends and family will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing, on Monday, January 24, 2011 from 10:00 AM - Noon. A funeral service will immediately follow at Noon with the Rev. Bob Whitecotton officiating. Interment will be held at Green Cemetery, Lonaconing.
