Harry Williamson, Jr.

Harry Richard Williamson, Jr., 88, of Washington Street , Lonaconing died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at the Egle Nursing and Rehab Center , Lonaconing. Born July 6, 1923 he was the son of the late Harry Richard Williamson, Sr. and Bessie Marie (Foutz) Williamson.

He was preceded in death by this wife Rosalie Marie (Lynch) Williamson on May 29, 2008; three sisters, Peggy Baumann, Laura Foor and Dorothy Williamson; a son-in-law, James "Sunset" Donald and one grandson, Edward Lee Broadwater.

Harry was a U.S. Army veteran and P.O.W serving in WWII. He retired from the outside department of Westvaco. He loved the outdoors, gardening and walking Jackson Mountain where he would pick berries and hunt for mushrooms.

He is survived by two daughters, Carol Donald of Lonaconing and Brenda Shockey and husband Jim also of Lonaconing; one son, Harry Williamson and wife Diane of Lonaconing; five grandchildren, Scott and friend Becki, Jeri and husband Todd, Julie and husband Jamie, Jennifer and friend Mike and Jaime Lynn and friend Bruce; five great-grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Amanda, Sam and Anthony; three sisters, Mildred Wratchford, Eileen Robertson and Shirley Connor; one brother, William Williamson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ), Lonaconing on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 from Noon - 2 PM . A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 2:00 PM with Rev. Fred Iser officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park , Cumberland .
