Harry Houser

June 8, 1933 — July 22, 2010

Harry Robert Houser, 77, of Ft. Ashby, WV died Thursday, July 23, 2010 at Martinsburg VA Medical Center. Born June 18, 1933 in Piedmont, WV he was the son of the late, Bernard Houser and Hazel (Burk) Houser.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille (Metz) Houser; two brothers, Eugene William Houser and Frank Houser; one sister, Bernice Houser Bashlinee and an infant brother, Sandy Houser.
He was member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Cumberland. He was veteran of the U.S. Army. He graduated from Piedmont High School and attended Diesel Mechanic, Welder Training School. He was a certified ARC Welder and retired as a welder from Westvaco Corp.
He is survived by his sister, Janet (Houser) Raley of Cresaptown, MD, one brother Leo Houser of Glen Rock, PA and multiple nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ), Lonaconing on Sunday, July 25, 2010 from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Everett Spence officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills, MD.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the VA Medical Center, Volunteer Service at 510 Butler Ave., Martinsburg, W.V. 25405 for the Palliative Care Unit in memory of Harry Robert Houser.
Pallbearers will be nephews, Bernard Houser, Wade Houser, Michael Houser and Matthew Houser and two close friends, Brad Pyles and Ron Cecil.
