Harold Lloyd Lashbaugh, 90, of Charlestown Road, Lonaconing died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at his residence. Born on March 17, 1925 in Lonaconing he was the son of the late John William Lashbaugh and Grace Elizabeth (Dye) Lashbaugh.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Irene (Merrbaugh) Lashbaugh on December 3, 2008 and his son, Harold Andrew Lashbaugh on November 19, 1974, his daughter, Judy Irene Kirk on December 26, 2011 and his siblings. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in WWII. He attended Catherman’s Business School. He retired from Westvaco where he worked as a machine tender in machine room 8 and 9. He was a member of the American Legion Post#155, Westernport.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Stacy Villa and husband John Brant of Frostburg and Kelly Hardman and husband Jason of Westernport; three great-grandchildren, Kristal Fitzgerald and husband David, Jamie Villa and Kayla Kirk; one great-great-grandson, Jace David Fitzgerald; son-in-law, Wayne Kirk of Lonaconing and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Inurnment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing handled the arrangements.
