Gregory Lynn Wamsley, 68, of Big Lane, Midland died Monday, October 9, 2023 at his residence. Born on February 3, 1955, he was the son of the late Charles Wamsley and Regina (Twigg) Wamsley.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Wamsley on May 30, 2022 and his brother, Terry “Wiggy” Wamsley.
Greg was a graduate of Valley High School and retired from CSX Railroad. He was the life of the party.
He leaves behind his daughter, Lynsy Wamsley and John Royal and their children, Ruby, Jimmy, and Amethyst Royal of Frostburg; his son, Wesley Wamsley of Midland; siblings, Beverly Nolan and husband George and Charles Wamsley and wife Norma and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Penny.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
