Gertrude Shoemaker

Gertrude Shoemaker went to Heaven to join the angel band, March 6, 2014 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. She was born to Leroy and Grace Shoemaker, Cumberland, MD. She will be truly missed by all her friends and extended family who loved her dearly. Anyone who met her fell immediately in love with her; she lived and loved life to the fullest.

She enjoyed going out to the mall, movies and to eat with her friend Jo Ann, and caregivers. She was always the life of the party, and enjoyed being around people.

She leaves behind her friends and extended family Jo Ann, her longtime friend Sharon, and her caregivers (Best Friends) and biggest fans. They will have many fond memories of her love, laughter and the endless fun they enjoyed with her.

Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 from 11AM - 1PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. George Loar officiating. Interment will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Cumberland.
