George B. Allen ,71, died

. Born, Nov. 18, 1940 in Eckhart, George was the son of the late George B. Allen, Sr. and Hope (Hoffman) Allen.
George was a graduate of
Beall
High School
, and was a member of the first football team at Frostburg State College. George had a great love of music, fishing, and sports, especially football. George also served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Allen is survived by daughters, Brooke Allen and Ryan Allen, granddaughters Lydia and Layla Martinez of Cape Coral , Fl.; a sister, Pat Allen Kaplon and husband Donald, of Madison , Va.
a brother, John Thomas Allen, Sr. and wife Barbara, of Eckhart. He is also survived by nephews, Brad Kaplon and wife, Pat, and John Thomas Allen, Jr. and wife, Carrie; nieces Clare Kaplon Lillard and husband Rodney, Krista Allen Livengood and husband Eddie, and Cathy Allen Albright and husband Dan.
George will be remembered at the Sunday, April 29, 2012 , noon mass at St. Michael's Church, Frostburg , Md. Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Midland , (www.eichhornmckenzie.com) handled the arrangements.
