Genevieve P. "Ginny" Bittinger, 74, of Lonaconing went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom she loved and served on Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Born June 5, 1940 in Keyser, WV. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice ( Coffman) Harris. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Guy Harris.
Ginny was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker.
Mrs. Bittinger was a faithful member of Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lonaconing where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and worked in Bible school.
Ginny was a 1959 graduate of Keyser High School and a stay at home mom. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was known for a pretty smile to everyone, she cared about people and tried to help in anyway she could. Ginny enjoyed scrapbooking and made one for each of her children and grandchildren.
Ginny was the mother of four children, Mark Edward Bittinger and friend Margaret of Lonaconing, Rodney David Bittinger and wife Tammy of Barton, Roger Dale Bittinger and friend Scott of New Jersey, Candace Joy (Bittinger) Booth and husband Pete of Barton; seven precious grandchildren, Aaron Elizabeth Holtschneider and husband Josh, Krystal Danielle Fischer and husband Derick, Patrick Jarrett Booth, Joshua David Bittinger, Daniel Jacob Bittinger, Jayden James Winner, Ian Brady Winner; her pride and joy, great-grandchildren, Elli Elizabeth Holtschneider, Abigail Louise Holtschneider, Isabella Londyn Hallbritter, Ireland Noel Fischer and one expected great-granddaughter Kiley Holtschneider.
Mrs. Bittinger is also survived by four brothers, Willard Lee Harris of New Creek, Ted Ivan Harris and wife Gail of Keyser, Alvie Joseph Harris of Keyser and James Ernest Harris of Romney; one sister-in-law, Sara Harris of Keyser; her former husband, Carl Bittinger of 40 years; lots of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. Funeral services will be conducted at Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lonaconing at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2014 with Pastor Charles Winebrenner and Pastor David Schoch officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. View Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Bittinger, Daniel Bittinger, Derick Fischer, Patrick Booth, James Farrell and Josh Holtschneider.
