Frank M. Sgaggero Sr.

Frank M. Sgaggero Sr., 80, of Detmold Street, Lonaconing, died Sunday, July 19, 2026 at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland. 

Born on August 26, 1945 in Piedmont, WV, he was the son of the late Vitto Sgaggero and Phylis (Cannon) Sgaggero.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, June Lee Sgaggero, a son, Frank Sgaggero Jr. and a sister, Lena Beeman.

Frank was a graduate of Beall High School, Frostburg and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retiree of Westvaco.He is survived by three sons, Mark Sgaggero of Lonaconing, Dale Sgaggero and wife Ellen also of Lonaconing, and Blaine Sgaggero and wife Megan of Fort Ashby, WV; daughter-in-law, Stacey Sgaggero of Cumberland; grandchildren, Andrew, Mark, Kelsey, Emily, Morgan, Owen, Ashton, Kadin and Levi; eight great-grandchildren; caregiver, Debbie Sgaggero, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor DJ Ritchey officiating. Interment will be held at Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone. Military rites will be accorded.
