Eugene Cesnick, Sr., 86, of Paradise Street, Midland, died Saturday, February 7, 2026 at his home. Born on March 4, 1939 in Frostburg, he was the son of the late John Cesnick and Catherine (Fair) Cesnick.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Cesnick on December 6, 2017 and three siblings, Cornelia Doolan, Thomas Cesnick, and Agnes McKenzie. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Eugene was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Midland, a graduate of Beall High School, and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Kelly Springfield Tire Company as a tire builder and continued to work part-time at Frostburg Nursing Home in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Midland Sportsman Club and a 60 plus year member of the Midland Fire Company #18. In 2024 he was inducted into the Wall of Flame by the Allegany Garrett Counties Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association.

Survived by his only son, Gene Cesnick, Jr. and wife Stephanie, he also leaves behind two grandchildren, Amanda Clark, and Olivia Cesnick; great-grandchildren, Braxton Cesnick, and Samantha and Kellin Clark; In-laws, Ellen Whetstone, Edna Fair, Bonnie Clark, Paul and Linda Kenney, and Eddy Kenney and wife Kay, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Per his wishes he will be cremated and no services will take place. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A. is assisting the family.
