Eloise Marie Broadwater

Eloise Marie Broadwater, 88, of Bethel Drive, Lonaconing, died Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Frostburg Nursing and Rehab. Born on January 5, 1938 in Loar Town, she was the daughter of the late Lawson S. Duckworth and Beatrice Ada (Ross) Duckworth. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wilbert Broadwater on January 28, 2020.

Eloise was a 1956 graduate of Valley High School and had worked for many years at Frostburg Nursing and Rehab in housekeeping. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Lonaconing.

She is survived by her children, Tom Broadwater and wife Brenda of Grantsville, Terry Broadwater of Lonaconing, and Brenda Spencer also of Lonaconing; eight grandchildren, Jason, Thomas, Jesse, Kayla, Megan, Chance, Shauna, and Vinnie; seventeen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

At her request she will be cremated and a private memorial celebration will be held for her family.
