Ellis “Bump” Raynor, 71, of Railroad Street, Midland, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 30, 2026, at his home. Born on July 4, 1954, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Doris (Raynor) and John Monahan.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, Ann and Harry Youngblood, a brother, Charlie Raynor, and special friends, Joy Broadwater and Jean Parker.
Bump was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Midland. He graduated from Valley High School and retired from ABL. He was a life-time member of the Midland Fire Company #18 and current vice president of the auxiliary. In his spare time, he enjoyed sports, fishing, and camping. He especially enjoyed watching his grandson, Roman, play football.
He is survived by his spouse of 38 years, Joyce Raynor; children, Mike Hartman and wife Linda, Shannon Sacco and husband Jimmy, Candice Raynor and significant other Mark Otto, Beth Holly, Katlyn Raynor and significant other Harrison Kyle, and Charlie Raynor; siblings, John Monahan and wife Rochelle, and Alona Monahan; grandchildren, Caleb Hartman and significant other Jocelyn, Ian Hartman and wife Clare, Aidyn Hartman, Austin Dudley and wife Mikaylan, Roman Holly, and Alex Blair; great-grandchildren, AJ Dudley, Jayce Dudley, and a great-grandson due in May; a very special aunt, Shirley Loudermilk and family; a special fur baby, Comet and, numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 11-2PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Deacon Harold Bradley and Pastor Shawn Shumaker officiating. Interment will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Midland at a later date. The family requests that no one dress up, Bump would want everyone to wear jeans and sports apparel.
Pallbearers will be Austin Dudley, Roman Holly, Randy Reed, Jimmy Sacco, Daniel Monahan and JR Monahan with honorary pallbearers, Dennis Llewellyn, John Monahan, Al Bosley and Ian Hartman.
