Eileen Lashbaugh

Eileen Mary Lashbaugh, 85, of Jackson Run Road, Lonaconing died Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center, Cumberland. Born August 11, 1925 in Cumberland she was the daughter of the late Alexander B. Scott and Mary C. (Anderson) Scott.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Lashbaugh, Jr. on May 19, 1972; her siblings, John Stevenson, Novella Duncan and Willa Fury and one granddaughter, Christina Lashbaugh.

She was member of the First United Methodist Church, Lonaconing and a graduate of Central High School class of 1943. She was a former member of the Alvin C. Neat Post #5280 VFW Ladies Auxiliary ,Lonaconing and the James P. Love Post #92 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Lonaconing for 69 years. She was also a member of the Frostburg Moose and the Georges Creek Senior Citizens Center, Lonaconing. Eileen loved bingo and played avidly at numerous locations along Georges Creek.

She is survived by her children, William A. Lashbaugh and wife Cindy of Lonaconing, Harold Lashbaugh and wife Carol of Frostburg and Sherry Hadley and husband Marshall of Lonaconing; grandchildren, David A. Hadley, Todd Hadley, Mark Bittner, Megan Stout, Pamela, Angela and Corrine Lashbaugh; five great-grandchildren, Breanna, Brent, Serena, Tyler and Isaiah; one brother, Bob Scott and friend Helen Bostjancic of Lonaconing; brother-in-law, Harold Lashbugh of Lonaconing; special friend, Milton Fairgrieve of Moscow and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ), Lonaconing on Thursday, October 21, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Maxwell Greenfield officiating. Interment will be held at Mt. View Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
