Dorothy Warnick

Dorothy Hazel Warnick, 75, of Skyline Drive died Monday, April 22, 2019 at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing. Born in Barton on October 26, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John R. Taylor and Dorothy E. (Green) Taylor.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Richard Ray Taylor and John R. Mummert.

Dorothy was a 1961 graduate Valley High School and worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years at Frostburg Village Nursing Home. Catholic by faith, she attended St. Peter Catholic Church, Westernport. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother; she was an inspiration to a lot of people and a friend to all.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years David Leo Warnick Sr.; three children Debra Ann Kinser and husband Robert of Cumberland, David Leo Warnick Jr. and wife Robin of Westernport and Janine Renee Green and husband Darren of Westernport; five grandchildren Justin Warnick, Travis Warnick, Bobby Kinser, Danielle Warnick and Kaitlyn Warnick; three great-grandchildren Alivia Warnick, Adalynn Morris and Isaiah Warnick; a sister Vickie Taylor Harvey and husband Robert of Moscow; two brothers Robert E. Taylor and wife Anna of Frostburg and Eddie R. Taylor of LaVale; numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Teddy.

At her request she will be cremated. Inurnment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery at a later date. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing assisted the family.
