Dennis Youngblood, 76, of Bloomington, died Thursday, August 6, 2026 at Ruby Memorial, Morgantown. Born on July 11, 1950, he was the son of the late Harry and Anastasia (McGann) Youngblood.

He was preceded in the death by his parents, his in-laws, Galen and Edna Beeman, a daughter, Leah Youngblood, a sister, Maryetta Fradiska, brothers-in-law, Ellis Raynor and Dennis Llewellyn, and a sister-in-law, Beth Youngblood.

He was the one that loved to serve and help people in his community. An active member of the Bloomington Volunteer Fire Dept., Past President of Lonaconing Lions Club, past member of Georges Creek Ambulance Service, and past member of Midland Fire Company and the Goodwill Fire Company of Lonaconing.

Denny was a graduate of Valley High School, class of 1970. He worked for Kelly Springfield till closure and then continued his working career at Frostburg State University as a ground’s tech till his retirement in 2012. His work continued with EMT Transport Services till his wife retired and they moved to North Carolina where he then retired from the Parks and Rec Dept. State of North Carolina. After nine years they decided to move back to Maryland to be closer to family and actively take care of his family and community members. He was catholic by faith.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sandra K. Youngblood; sons, Nathan Youngblood (Jamie), and Kenneth Lease, Jr.; daughters, Luretta Gomer (Will), and Gail Moon (Michael); nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren with two more on the way; ten siblings, Jim, Paul, Carleita, Libby, Harry, Joyce, Peggy, Kevin, Stacie, and Pat and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his faithful canine companion, Shadow. 

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 2PM-4PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating.
