Dean Thomas

Dean Morton Thomas, 52, of Ridgewood Avenue, Cumberland died Friday, August 15, 2014 at Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Born on January 10, 1962 in Cumberland he was the son of the late John G. Thomas and Helen (Morton) Thomas of Lonaconing.
He was preceded in death by his favorite niece, Molly Thomas; his grandparents; and Aunt Belle as well as other beloved aunts and uncles.
Dean attended South Penn Elementary School where he made many lifelong friends. He continued to make many more lifelong friends through the Friends Aware workshops and residential programs.
He is survived by his brother, Jack Thomas and wife Kristina of Pittsford, NY and two nieces, Sarah Thomas of Syracuse, NY and Jane Thomas of Pittsford, NY, and many cousins and friends.
Family and friends will be received at the Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 3-5PM and 7-9PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 10:30AM with Pastor Denny Michael officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
