Darlene Ann Winters, 87, of Front Street, Lonaconing, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Sterling Care Assisted Living, Frostburg. Born on January 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William Getson and Mary (Nicol) Getson.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nikki Lynn Winters and a son, Paul Gregory Winters and three siblings, Bill, Irma and Bobby Getson.
Darlene was a 1956 graduate of Valley High School and a homemaker; she took great pride in her home and family. A devote Catholic, she was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lonaconing. Darlene loved to dance and go out to eat.
She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Winters; two children, David “Tony” Winters of Lonaconing and Dana Ann Marsh and husband Greg of Westernport; five grandchildren, Shannon Cannon, Chris Garlitz, Andrew Marsh, Hunter Cowan and Kody Winters; 15 great-grandchildren, Nikki and Izac Cannon, Maxamillian and Sabastian Garlitz, Aiden, Gavin and Vanessa Marsh, Ashleigh, Brooklynn, Hailey, Kelsey, Mariah, and Abbigail Cowan and Kiya and Axl Winters; two brothers, Ed Getson and Jim Getson and a brother-in-law, George Winters. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many great friends.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 11:00-1:00 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Father Ed Hendricks officiating. Interment will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
