Cynthia Ann Hare

Cynthia Ann Hare, 63 of Pekin, died Friday, February 13, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. Born on October 1, 1962 in Frostburg she was the daughter of Janet (Colmer) Nicol and the late William Nicol.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne “Bill” Hare on August 24, 2022 and father-in-law Wayne Hare.

Cynthia resided with her mother, Janet Nicol. She was catholic by faith and a 1981 graduate of Valley High School. She enjoyed playing bingo and watching television.

Together with her mother, Janet, she also leaves behind four siblings, William Nicol and wife Nancy, Lisa Barcase and husband Jeff, Amy Nightengale and husband Chris and Patricia Metz and husband Russ. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and mother-in-law, Carol Hare and family.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 3-6 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will immediately follow at 6:00 PM with Deacon Harold Bradley officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
