Colleen Virginia Fisher, 89, of Flintstone, MD, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 28, 2022 at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland. Born on December 30, 1932 in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late William Donald and Nellie Marie (Whiteman) Donald.
She was preceded in death by her son Stephen Fisher and her sister Phyllis Wilt.
Colleen was a devoted mother and grandmother, who loved nothing more than spending time with her family. Colleen was a graduate of Central High School and had worked as a nursing assistant for 30 years at Frostburg Village. She was a life long member of the First Assembly of God Church in Lonaconing, where she enjoyed fellowship with the congregation. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all that knew her. Even at the age of 89, Colleen was best known for her fashion sense and witty personality.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Ryan and James Guinn, of Flintstone and Shelley Alexander of Midland. Colleen is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Lee Fisher and wife Jean, Jessica Paugh and fiancé Jason Whetzel, Robert Alexander, Kayla Alexander, Damien Hughes and fiancée Samantha Eckhart, Devan Caldwell and husband Logan, and Nicholas Alexander; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; a sister, Betty Housel of Lonaconing; a brother, Ken Donald wife Shirley of VA; a special companion Ronnie Shaw; and several nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 10 AM- Noon at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing with Rev. Greg Georg officiating. Interment will be held at Green Cemetery, Lonaconing.
