Clara Preston

Clara Jean Preston, 74, formerly of Jessup, MD died Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Frostburg Village Nursing Home where she had been a resident for 15 years. Born February 6, 1937 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late Ruth Evelyn Dick.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, James Thomas Preston, Frostburg; one daughter, Roxine Joy Noone and husband Harry of Jessup; three grandchildren, Tabetha Joy Spiker and husband Steven of Jessup, Jessica Rapolla and husband Jesus of Glen Burnie and Nicholas Noone of Jessup; three great-grandchildren, Patrick Pitcher, Ashley Rapolla and Brianna Rapolla; sisters-in-law, Mary Hice and her husband the late Charles, Eleanor Carr and husband  Dick, Shirley Rafferty and husband Pete and Darlene Spataro and husband Rob; brother-in-law, Ben Preston and wife Peggy and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a  member of the First United Methodist Church, Lonaconing and the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Jessup.

She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Charles Preston and wife May and sister-in-law, Catherine Ritchie and husband Charles.

Family and Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing (www.eichhornmckenzie.com) on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011 at the funeral home at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Gary W. Trail officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg.
