Charles "Charlie" William Musgrove

In a moment that changed our lives forever, Charles William Musgrove "Charlie", 23 years young of East Main St. Lonaconing was peacefully swept into the gates of Heaven on January 13, 2026. Though his passing was unexpected, we take comfort in the promise of eternal life and the certainty that we will see him again in the light of God’s grace.

Born on October 4, 2002 in Cumberland, he was the son of Richard McDonald 3rd. of Lonaconing and Jessica(Musgrove) Twigg of Cumberland. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Richard McDonald Jr. "Pappy", maternal grandfather Charles Musgrove "Pappy Charles", and paternal great grandparents Milton "Bob" and Delores Fairgrieve.

In addition to his parents, Charlie is survived by his stepfather, Ronald "Ronnie" Twigg, sister Anastasia Twigg, paternal grandmother Shelby McDonald "Mamaw", and maternal grandmother, Judy Musgrove. In addition he is survived by his aunts Ashley Cole and Brandy Reynolds(Jason), uncles Matthew and Jeffrey, great uncles Robert Fairgrieve and Joseph Ballard, great aunt Crystal Snyder and cousins Kyiah and Jay Reynolds. As well his youngest cousin Cambria Cole who definitely had him wrapped around her little finger.

Charlie was always such a sweet soul. He had a servants heart. He was always willing to help out whether it be helping his Mamaw around the house, helping his Grandma Judy during her illness or helping his Aunt Ashley with Cambria. No matter what it was Charlie did it with a smile and sometimes even some jokes! His laugh was infectious and his sarcasm was unmatched. Charlie and his dad Richard bonded over video games and streaming. They could be heard many nights laughing and carrying on doing what they did best.

To those who loved Charlie the most, this loss brings such a depth of grief that is a testament to the depth of the love shared. It is a heavy, lingering ache that touches every corner of daily life. Losing someone so suddenly creates a profound, echoing silence that words struggle to fill. Those of us left behind feel as though the ground has shifted beneath our feet, leaving us to navigate a world that no longer makes sense without him. As a true Pappy's boy, we try to find comfort that our sweet Charlie has been reunited with his Pappy Richard and Pappy Charles.
Per Charlie's request, he was cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 24th 2026 at 1pm at Trinity Assembly of God Church, Midlothian with the Rev. Rob Culler officiating.
