Carol Jean McKenzie

Carol Jean McKenzie, 75, of Charlestown Road, Lonaconing, died Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Egle Nursing and Rehab Center, Lonaconing. Born on December 25, 1950 in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late John Buskirk and Birdie (Snyder) Buskirk.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Booth and Dorothy Loar, and a brother, Charlie Buskirk.

Carol was a 1969 graduate of Valley High School and had worked at the Flushing Shirt Factory in Frostburg and then the Egle Nursing and Rebab Center in the activities department. She was Pentecostal by faith. She enjoyed word search puzzles, watching game shows, and reading.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Arthur McKenzie, married on June 28, 1985. She is also survived by her sister, Wilda McKenzie and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 6-8 PM at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. George Harpold officiating. Interment will be held at Green Cemetery, Lonaconing.
