Carl Hausrath

Carl William Hausrath 81, of Lower Georges Creek Road, (Gilmore) Lonaconing, Md. died August 19, 2011 at Frostburg Village Nursing Home, Frostburg.   Born in Gilmore, Md  on Sept. 11, 1929 a son of the late Carl Lester Hausrath and Mary Joseph (Fair) Hausrath. He was preceded in death by sister Gloria Hausrath.

Carl retired from PPG with 30 years of service and was an Army Veteran in the Korean Conflict, serving with the Military Police.  He was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are one brother Gene Hausrath and wife Evelyn of Mount Savage and two sisters Freda Johns and husband Harry, Westminster and Juanita Mears and husband Glenn, Frostburg and several nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends will be received at the Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhorn-mckenziefh.com ), Lonaconing, MD on Monday,  August 22, 2011 from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 with the Rev. Fred Iser officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park, Frostburg, MD.
