Betty Jane Crawford, 78, of Wright Street, Frostburg died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at her residence. Born on November 28, 1937 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late William Stanley Thomas and Edna (Jefferies) Thomas.
She was preceded in death by her son Steven Crawford in 2001.
Betty was a Valley High School graduate and had worked for the MVA. She enjoyed camping on Savage River and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Herb Crawford; three children, Herbert William Crawford and Susan Michael of LaVale, Deborah Ann Likens and fiancé Charles White of Warfordsburg, PA and Stephanie Marie Cessna and husband Ethan of Bedford, PA; four grandchildren, Natasha, Michael, Stephen and Hunter; five great-grandchildren, Shane, Harley, Devon, Danielle and Talon; one brother, James William Thomas and wife Ann of LaVale and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 5-7PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11:00AM with Rev. George Harpold officiating. Interment will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park.
