Barbara “Joan” Fazenbaker, 81, of Bluebaugh Road, Lonaconing, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 17, 1945 in Lonaconing, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. Beeman and Anna T. (Likens) Beeman.

Joan was a 1963 graduate of Valley High School, Lonaconing and during her high school years she volunteered as a candy striper. She retired from the Allegany County Nursing Home, where she worked as the head cook for 35 years. She was an excellent cook and baker; she would take all the neighborhood kids in and make homemade popcorn and potato chips. A member of Bethel Holiness Church, Lonaconing, she had previously taught Sunday School and lead the Women’s Ministry. She loved the Lord and her church family with all of her heart, she read her bible every day and was a prayer warrior, always praying for her family and friends.
