Arlene Staup McKenzie, 66, of Baltimore Street, Cumberland died June 29, 2010 at Lions Center, Cumberland where she had been a patient since September of 2007. Born May 31, 1944 in Lonaconing she was the daughter of the late James Staup and Clementine (Duckworth) Staup.
She retired as a banker. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Cumberland. She was also a member of Allegany County Cancer Board, Ladies of the Elks, Banker's Association and Women of the World all of Cumberland.
She is survived by her husband, James L. McKenzie; two step-children, Patrick E. McKenzie and Sandra Folk and two step-grandchildren, Tyler Folk and Wayne Folk.
Family and Friends will be received at the by Eichhorn-McKenzie Funeral Home P.A. ( www.eichhornmckenzie.com ), Lonaconing on Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A graveside service will be held at Frostburg Memorial Park on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society at 182 N. Mechanic Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
